Moyven installs the filtration systems for the CPV ground quarry in Tiebas
Grupo Cementos Portland Valderrivas (CPV) has begun a process of transformation of its open pit quarries in ground mining exploitations, based on vertical transport of the aggregates through a chimney and posterior exploitation in the gallery.
For one of them, “Canteras de Alaiz”, located at Tiebas (Navarra), Moyven has carried out the installation of the equipment necessary to eliminate the dust generated in the crushing and treatment of aggregates.
CPV started up the first systems of exploitation based on chimney and gallery in their quarries at Orozko and Errigoiti, and has recently completed the process at Canteras de Alaiz. With a treatment capacity of 2,000,000 MT/year, is the largest transformed quarry to date in the State (with a chimney 210 metres long and Ø 4,7 metres and crushing chamber of 45x18x22 metres). For this exploitation, Moyven has installed a dust-trapping system to minimize emissions and a ventilation system to prevent air pollution. The installation, located in the ground chamber, has five intakes with an induction volume of 60,000 m³/hour.
