The practical application of industrial eco-design shown in six new Practical Cases of Environmental Excellence
The re-design of a new refrigerator, the reduction of the environmental impact of bottle cap, of furnishings for senior citizens or of a building project are some of the aspects described in the six new “Practical Cases of Environmental Excellence” edited by the Public Association of Environmental Management, “IHOBE”. The practical experiences described by this entity in said publication, in which good practices carried out by Basque companies can be found, with the addition of these, now total 38. On this occasion, the six Practical Cases (Burdinola, Fagor Electrodomésticos S.Coop, Geromobel S.L., Moyven S.A., Oneka Arquitectura S.L. Tuboplast Hispania S.A.) have developed the methodology of Eco-design, but within the collection of experiences of Basque with a high degree of environmental excellence which is described in this publication; also included are experiences of companies in the implementation of Regulation ISO 14001, the integration of management systems, the implementation of Ekoscan system or the application of clean production measures.
